Our Publishing Process 

Please note that the publishing process is unique for each work and therefore the costs associated with it can vary. However, we can provide you with a general overview of the SOTRANE Publishers publishing process:

  1. Idea for the Book: You start by developing an idea for your book.
  2. Discussion with a Consultant/Publisher: You have a discussion with a consultant or publisher from SOTRANE Publishers to further explore your idea.
  3. Proposal Form: You fill out a Book Proposal Form, providing details about your book, such as its genre, target audience, and market potential.
  4. Proposal Assessment: SOTRANE Publishers assesses your proposal and may request a Manuscript Appraisal.
  5. Manuscript Appraisal/Review: If requested, you submit your manuscript for appraisal, which includes evaluating its content, language usage, marketability, and alignment with SOTRANE Publishers' brand. You may need to fill out an Author Declaration form to protect copyright and intellectual property rights.
  6. Decision to Publish: SOTRANE Publishers makes a decision on whether to publish your book based on the appraisal results.
  7. Submit Manuscript/Technical Services: If approved, you submit your manuscript for further services, such as typesetting, graphic design, editing, and proofreading.
  8. Contract: Once the manuscript is accepted, you enter into a contract with SOTRANE Publishers.
  9. Review Proofs and Revise: You review the proofs of your book and make any necessary revisions.
  10. Production: The book goes into production, including printing and/or eBook formatting.
  11. Publication: The book is published and made available in print and/or eBook formats.
  12. Marketing and Sales: SOTRANE Publishers carries out marketing and sales activities to promote your book.
ISBN and Barcode Cover Design Typesetting Proofreading
The cost for obtaining an ISBN (International Standard Book Number) is around ZMW 215.
The cost for cover design can range from ZMW 500 to ZMW 2,500, depending on the complexity and requirements.
Typesetting services can cost between ZMW 500 and ZMW 5,000, depending on the length and complexity of the manuscript.
It is important to note that editing and proofreading costs are based on the assessment of each individual work and will be determined based on the specific requirements of your manuscript.
Note: There may be additional costs for fulfilling other statutory requirements which can vary depending on the specific needs of your book. If you only require printing services, please provide us with the book size, number of pages, color specifications (if applicable), and the desired quantity.
