Sotrane Publishers is an independent publishing house based in Lusaka, Zambia. Since 2018, we have worked with authors and institutions to develop, publish and distribute books for readers in Zambia and beyond.
Our Story
Sotrane Publishers was established to create more professional opportunities for Zambian and African writers and to publish literature that records knowledge, experience, culture and ideas relevant to our communities.
Since 2018, we have published more than 170 titles across different subjects and genres. Our work extends beyond producing books. We support authors through editorial development, design, printing, distribution, marketing and other services required to bring a publication to readers professionally.
We work with authors, librarians, booksellers, distributors, institutions and other partners across the literary sector. These relationships help us improve access to professional publishing for both first-time and established authors.
