About the Author

My name is Martin Soko, a Zambian writer and aspiring filmmaker based in Woodlands. I am a creative storyteller with a strong passion for emotionally grounded and socially conscious narratives.

Background

I grew up in Chelstone and relocated to Woodlands in 2018. My interest in storytelling began during my secondary school years when I joined the drama club in Grade 11.

Writing Focus

I write non-fictional stories inspired by real-life situations. Writing allows me to express lived experiences, social realities, and messages in a creative yet authentic way.

Creative Work

In addition to writing, I actively participate in theatre and acting. I have written two short films for the Green Buffaloes Theatre Club and am preparing to publish my book titled Imagine a Zambia Without Gender-Based Violence.
