Brig Gen Dr. David Sanene Suuba is a distinguished senior officer of the Zambia Army with over 38 years of exemplary military service. He enlisted on 14 January 1987 and has served Zambia with honour, discipline, and professionalism.

Military Career

Throughout his career, he has held key command and leadership roles including Platoon Commander, Squadron Commander, Officer Commanding Military Police, and Deputy Regional Commander. His service spans operational, administrative, and strategic assignments.

International Service

He has served in several international peacekeeping and conflict environments, including deployment as a Transport Officer during the Sierra Leone Civil War and as Chief Operations Officer in Darfur. His expertise extends to logistics coordination and United Nations equipment standardization.

Academic Achievements

Dr. Sanene holds an Advanced Diploma in French, a Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics and Transport Management, a Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching Methodology, a Master’s Degree in Defence and Security Studies, and a Doctorate in Electoral Violence Prevention.

Scholarship and Research

He is an active researcher in regional security and a PhD supervisor, contributing significantly to academic and policy discourse in defence, governance, and peace studies.
