Allan Nehemia Mkandawire was born in the rural part of Chief Phikamalaza in Lundazi District.

He is a professional physical planner and project manager, holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the Copperbelt University and a Master’s Degree in Project Management from the University of Lusaka.

Allan has worked in the Ministry of Local Government and various other institutions as a town planner. He has also served as a consultant at the Zambia Land Alliance and at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).

He is a member of the Zambia Institute of Planners.

This is the first fiction book Nehemia has written, though he has authored several unpublished short stories for secondary school drama groups.

Allan is married to Naomi Chiswaminina Mkandawire, and together, they have two sons. He is currently working on another novel entitled Presidential Pardon.
