About the Author
Brig Gen Dr. David Sanene Suuba is a distinguished Army officer with over 38 years of dedicated service in the Zambia Army, having enlisted on 14th January, 1987. His extensive career includes key roles such as Platoon Commander, Squadron Commander, Officer Commanding Military Police, Deputy Regional Commander and various leadership positions across multiple units.
He has participated in significant missions both locally and internationally, including serving as a transport officer during the Sierra Leone civil war and as Chief Operations Officer in Darfur. His expertise includes logistics coordination for peacekeeping deployments and reviewing UN equipment manuals.
Academically, he holds an advanced diploma in French, a bachelor's in logistics and transport management, a postgraduate diploma in teaching methodology, a master's in defence and security studies, and a doctorate in electoral violence prevention. He is also a researcher in regional security and PhD supervisor, contributing to academic knowledge in his field.
